As an open-access publisher, SAL charges a publication fee to cover publication costs, which include but are not limited to the following:
- DOI fee: We assign a DOI name to each chapter/book (Crossref Fees)
- ISBN fee: We assign an ISBN code to each chapter/book, R$ 26.15 (CBL Prices)
- Bar Code fee / Código de Barras: We assign a Bar Code to each chapter/book, R$ 37.80 (CBL Prices)
- Catalog Card fee / Ficha de catalogação: We assign a Catalog Card to each chapter/book, R$ 62.80 (CBL Prices)
- CrossCheck/iThenticate fees (iThenticate Pricing)
- Maintenance fee: Online hosting and backup of articles
- Labor costs: Includes call for papers, author services, managing peer review, editing, publishing, and other direct works
- Banking services

- Trademark fee
